I work for a Police force and we are currently in the process of merging our recruitment associated teams with our development unit and are trying to come up with a new name for the merged unit.
Our remit in the joint function will range from recruitment of all staff to the force, representative work force activities, succession planning, job evaluation, promotion processes, leadership development and training, mentoring, work experience placements, leading on the appraisal scheme and induction of staff.
I am keen we should be more modern with our approach and go for Talent Management but some of the other managers including our Head of Unit prefer Career Management.
What are your views at the name ?
